The significance of biometric access control
Biometric access control systems utilize unique biological characteristics, like vein patterns, for identity verification. Unlike traditional methods like passwords, these systems identify individuals based on physical traits that are nearly impossible to replicate or steal. Fingerprint recognition and iris scanning are the most well-known forms of biometric access control. However, facial recognition and (finger and palm) vein pattern recognition starting to gain in popularity as a biometric access control solution.
At Recogtech, we focus on vein pattern recognition, an advanced method offering unmatched accuracy and security, ensuring that only authorized individuals can gain access. Recogtech utilizes Fujitsu’s advanced PalmSecure™ technology to provide sophisticated biometric solutions that ensure only authorized individuals gain acces
Why choose a biometric access control?
There are two advantages if you use biometrics for access control. Firstly, it is a convenient technology: there is no need to remember anything or carry anything with you. Secondly, a high level of security is achieved: identification on the basis of biometric characteristics is much less susceptible to fraud.
In the area of identification biometrics offer an additional advantage. As the characteristics concerned are specific to the individual, there is little or no chance of identity fraud.
Palm vein pattern recognition is based on the recognition of unique vein patterns. However, as more reference points are used than in the case of finger vein pattern recognition, this is an even simpler and more secure identification method.
The technology, which cannot be copied (or only with extreme difficulty), is currently regarded as the best available method in the area of biometric access control systems, alongside iris scanning. The Palm ID is fast and accurate and offers a high level of user convenience as a biometric access control solution.
Biometric access control: the Palm-ID
The vein pattern can be scanned using an infrared camera. As veins are under the skin rather than on the surface, the Palm-ID is considerably more resistant to fraud for biometric access control than fingerprint recognition. Besides being accurate and fraud-proof, the Palm-ID is also hygienic, quick and extremely easy to use.

Also available in a one device combination with card-reader: the Palm-ID Card is GDPR compliant (privacy proof). Are you looking for a biometric access control system to protect your premises or confidential data? The Palm-ID scanner of Recogtech is the ideal option.
Advantages
- Very user-friendly: use your palm to gain access
- Extremely accurate and resistant to fraud
- Easy to combine with existing security systems (e.g. card readers)
- Highest security at database level
Palm-ID
An advanced biometric key replacement based on vein pattern recognition in the palm of the hand. The Palm-ID is used in private homes, yachts, retail, sole proprietorships and small businesses, among others.
Each individual palm has unique vein patterns that are effortlessly scanned by an infrared camera. Because veins are deep under the skin, as opposed to on the surface, Palm-ID offers an exceptionally high level of fraud resistance, far surpassing methods such as fingerprint recognition.
Palm-ID Pro
Access control based on vein pattern recognition in the palm of the hand fully integrated with most access control systems and door controllers. The Palm-ID Pro is widely used within justice, government, laboratories, logistics and critical infrastructure.
It offers enhanced features such as higher throughput and more advanced integration capabilities, making it suitable for more intensive use and larger installations.
Palm-ID Card
Improve your security and privacy with the Palm-ID Card: two-factor authentication and full stand-alone functionality. The Palm-ID Card is accepted internationally because the biometric data is stored on the card.
With the Palm-ID Card, you benefit from unique dual security: biometrics and a linked card. The Palm-ID Card combines reliable vein pattern recognition with the proven card reader technology from our partner, deister electronic. The result? The most advanced biometric recognition on the most secure card! This makes the Palm-ID Card fully compliant with GDPR guidelines.
